Since 1972, the Silver Skillet restaurant has been preparing home-style cooking for locals and travelers pulling off Interstate 80 in the 49`er Travel Plaza, a popular stop for truckers, farmers and local families.

With the proliferation of chain restaurants, which are often sterile, cold and impersonal, the Silver Skillet offers the customer a comfortable atmosphere and friendly service - like independent family restaurants used to be. High quality food in a friendly environment at reasonable prices is the key to our success.

With their recently re-modeled dining room, the Silver Skillet is now celebrating its Grand-Re-Opening. The restaurant`s interior has an airy, open ambience that evokes memories of the 1950s with wood paneling, traditional booths, tables with the daily specials presented on stands, and an old-fashioned counter near the kitchen . Silver Skillet is a full service restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

From home-made soups and daily specials to outstanding steak dinners, the restaurant provides a full choice menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a family-friendly atmosphere.  And when we say a full choice menu, we mean it. Over 150 dishes are offered and include a range of items to please every palate and member of the family.
